The Train is Leaving the Station

From Coast to Coast and all around the world, sports are something that brings people of all kinds together. It doesn't matter if you are from America, Brazil, Europe, or China sports is something that everyone has in common. Sports brings out the kid in us, whether you are 2 or 99 we all still remember what it felt like when we got that first hit in little league, or scored our first goal in hockey. You can go anywhere and you will see something that represents the sports in your country or in your local town. It is something that unites countries, states, towns, schools, families and much much more. My plan is to keep you updated on the top stories of the sports world, from Olympics to Nascar.

So you are probably wondering who I am... My name is Robbie Vogler, aka "Big Red" and I will be the "conductor" for this journey around the world of sports. I am a recent graduate of Liberty University where I received a Bachelors Degree in Communications: Broadcasting. I am currently a freelance interviewer where I go around the Hampton Roads area interviewing local, national, and global icons such as athletes, musicians, politicians, etc. While at Liberty I had the opportunity to interview some of the top athletes and sports names in the country. Names that include All-American college football player and current NFL Wide Receiver Chris Summers, Professional Hockey Player Mike Morrison, Former All-American and current coach of the Liberty Football team, Turner Gill, and All-American Basketball star Jesse Sanders. I covered sports such as hockey, football, baseball, lacrosse, track and field, tennis, soccer, and numerous others around campus. On top of my interviews at Liberty, I have also compiled interviews with Virginia AAA Football Coach of the Year Rich Morgan, and my most memorable interview was with New York Mets 3rd baseman David Wright. My Chris Summers interview was recently featured in an article about Chris on the Bleacher Report.

I hope you climb aboard as we travel the globe searching for the hottest stories in sports. I hope you will continue to keep up with this blog and give me your opinions on the stories I write about. I want this blog to be open and I want you the readers to really engage through this blog! So climb aboard as the Big Red Express leaves the station, this is a ride you will not want to miss!
